Meghan Orman is a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh in the School of Education. Her PhD defense will be on her project, “Exploring and Measuring Nature Connection in Early Childhood.” She conducted two studies to explore and measure nature connection in Icelandic preschool children (N=117). Meghan came to Iceland as a Fulbright Scholar. She also worked on a project with Youth for Arctic Nature led by Dr. Jessica Aquino (of Hólar University) in Iceland and in Norway. Meghan’s PhD research project contributes to the growing field of early childhood sustainability education and efforts to raise future generations who value and protect the environment.
