Diploma in Tourism
The Diploma program in tourism is a one year vocational program, covering 90 ECTS units of which 30 are though a vocational training placement with a tourism operator.
Tourism diploma students recieve education and training in the tourism sector, and a skillset for employment within the sector, founded upon the principles of sustainable and responsible tourism and with an emphasis on cultural and nature based tourism.
The course is a platform for further studies, as graduates can continue to the 2nd year of B.A. studies in Tourism, or Tourism and Hospitality Management. Graduates also acheive certification as Icelandic rangers, offered in collaboration with the Icelandic Environmental Agency.
