Our terms of use

This website is operated by Hólar University. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hólar University. Hólar University offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
Hólar University reserves the right to cancel orders (due to wrong information i.e. regarding prices), change prices and/or change product types being sold, without notice.
Offers in our online store are sometimes only valid there. In our online store international customers can only pay by credit- or debit card. The billing address and delivery address need not be the same. Local customers can pay by credit- or debit card.

Credit cards and security
We accept VISA, VISA ELECTRON, MASTER CARD and MAESTRO credit and debit cards. All card transactions go through secure pages and servers from Valitor (valitor.is). This is an official credit card service provider that uses PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). To protect credit- and debit card information Hólar University does not store credit-or debit card information at any time.

Taxes and fees
All prices on the website are in Icelandic kronur. Hólar University cannot anticipate taxes applied by overseas Custom houses. Any additional taxes, fees, tariffs, import fees and surcharges levied by destination countries are the responsibility of the customer.

Confidentiality
Hólar University holds all information from the buyer in relation to the purchase as confidential. Under no circumstances will information be handed to a third party.

Product delivery
Domestic deliveries will be sent to you by mail within 2-4 workdays and will be delivered with Íslandspóstur.
Delivery, transportation and insurance terms of each parcel service apply to the delivery. Hólar University is thereby not responsible for damage caused during delivery.

Cancellation / right to return
You can exchange books at our Service Desk in Hólar, if the title is for sale at the store, and the book is in good condition except if there‘s writing in or on the book. If the product was bought in sealed packaging, the seal must not be broken. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
