Hólar University Researchers Publish International Report on Educator Competencies and Professional Development in Iceland

Ph.D. student Deisi Maricato and Dr. Jessica Aquino, Associate Professor, Hólar University, Rural Tourism Department have published a report titled "An International Overview of Higher Education Competencies and Teaching Frameworks: Towards Professional Development of Educators in Iceland." This report is part of the Heimahöfn project which is part of a larger project funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Iceland. The report focuses on a comprehensive literature review regarding the competencies of higher education teachers and the teaching frameworks from an international perspective, as well as their status in Iceland. It also presents results of an online survey designed to assess training provided by higher education institutions in Iceland.
