The Nordic Master in Friluftsliv Studies provides opportunities to study nature-culture interactions in three Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden, and Iceland. Students gain skills that enable them to contribute to adventurous explorations, environmental learning, active living, and well-being.
The program leads to a joint master’s degree and a joint master’s diploma, with a mandatory 30 ECTS thesis submission. Students are encouraged to write their master's thesis in cooperation with or on behalf of external actors in one of the collaborating countries or in the North Atlantic Region.
During the program, students get to live and experience the diversity and similarities in the outdoors in three Scandinavian countries, pursuing studies for one semester at each of the three collaborating universities.
