Holar University College uses the ECTS system for systemic expalanation of students' workload.
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) is based on the principle that 60 credits measure the workload of a full-time student during one academic year.
The student workload of a full-time study programme should be around 1500 - 1800 hours and thus one credit stands for around 25 - 30 working hours.
Grading scale: As a general rule grades are expressed on the 0-10 scale, where the passing grade is 5 and above. Course grades are given in increments of 0.5. Grade averages are computed to two decimal places: 5.00 to 5.99 is graded as Third Class, 6.00 to 7.24 as Second Class, 7.25 to 8.99 as First Class, 9.00 to 10.00 as First Class with Distinction.
