B.Sc. Biology (option – Biology of Organisms and Populations), University of Western Brittany, 2012
Background and research interests:
I have always been interested in science, but I took a little while to find the domain in which I felt most comfortable. After my first studies in laboratory techniques, I turned to medicine before finally deciding on biology and in particular marine and aquatic biology.
I graduated with a B.Sc. in biology and population organisms in 2012, and then I continued with a first-year master's degree in physiology to deepen my knowledge on the functions of organisms.
My passion for travel led me to continue my studies in Iceland with a M.Sc. where I study the factors that influenced the biodiversity of macroinvertebrates in the lava caves around Mývatn. I also work on the assemblage of these macroinvertebrates in the caves.
In the future, I hope to unite my three passions (the ocean, physiology and ecology) by studying the impacts of environmental changes on endemic populations of these environments, and thus raise awareness on the consequences or potential hazards incurred.
